The Pike Pub & Brewery.  Located next to the Pike Place Market, offers one of the largest selections of

Beecher's Handmade Cheese.  1600 Pike Place, Seattle.  (206) 956-1964.  Watch the cheese making process
from the store front and sample great cheeses.  

Palace Kitchen.  One of Tom Douglas' restaurants.  Open daily from 5pm until 1pm, great food, such as pork and
chicken cooked on an applewood-fire rotisserie grill.  A fun and very busy restaurant/cocktail bar.  2030 Fifth Avenue,

The only restaurant in the Northwest United States to receive the Grand Award from Wine Spectator is
Canlis.  It is
also one of only 88 establishments in the world to receive this award.  Contemporary Northwest cuisine that follows
the season, offering wine dinners.  This is a dressy restaurant where men are required to wear suits or

For the best espresso drinks in Seattle (and possibly anywhere in the world) go to
Espresso Vivace.  The 85 seat
roasteria is located at 901 East Denny Way, (206) 860-5869, and the Espresso Vivace Sidewalk Bar is located at
321 Broadway Avenue East (Capitol Hill area).  Both locations are serving up incredible espresso based drinks
from 6:30am to 11pm everyday.  Whole bean sales available.  You'll be wondering what swill other coffee shops
