RESTAURANTS IN UNITED STATES
ALASKA
ANCHORAGE
Cafe Savannah for lunch or dinner offers a large selection of hot and cold Tapas.  Try the potato
and onion Croaquetas de Patata, Tortilla Espanola, and the Hongo Relleno con Vegetales, just
to name a few of the hot tapas items.  508 W 6th Avenue.  (907) 646-9121

For a great breakfast or lunch the
Snow City Cafe is the place to go.  Opens daily at 7am, very
busy so expect to wait on the weekends.  If you're in the mood for an omelette try the Crabby -
fluffy three-egg omelet with dungeness crab, Swiss cheese and green onions, topped with fresh
avocado slices, served with hashbrowns and toast (enough for 2 unless you're incredibly
hungry).  1034 W 4th Avenue.  (907) 272 - CITY.

Best thing to order on the menu at
Sullivan's Steakhouse is steak, although the Martinis and
jazz are great too.  The Filet Mignon was to die for.  All sides are extra, but order one side dish
and there's enough for four people - the onion rings were so large they looked like donuts.
Steak isn't the only thing on the menu but the Ahi Tuna Steak was rather disappointing.  The
Grand Marnier souffle was very good and the service excellent.  320 W 5th Avenue.  (907)
258-2882.

Looking for live music, great dining and unique beers?
Try the
Snow Goose Restaurant and Sleeping Lady Brewery.  Fantastic views from the deck.
717 W 3rd Avenue.  (907) 227-7727.

Simon & Seafort's Saloon & Grill, (907) 274-3502.  420 L Street.  World-class view of Cook
Inlet and Sleeping Lady.  Very popular with locals and tourists, recommend reservations.
Friendly service and good food offering fresh Alaska seafood.

Also popular with the locals is
Mick's at the Inlet Tower.  Lunch or dinner, reasonably priced,
good service, excellent food.  1200 L Street.  (907) 276-0110.

Hacienda Mexican Restaurant, (907) 338-0109.  6307 DeBarr Road.  Authentic food, great
margaritas, friendly service.

Humpy's Great Alaskan Alehouse, (907) 276-2337.  610 W Sixth Avenue.  43 brews on tap, full
bar, live music nightly, great food (try the halibut and/or salmon burgers).

Orso, (907) 222-3232.  737 W Fifth Avenue.  Fresh Alaskan seafood, fresh pasta dishes, great
wine list and cocktails, desserts made in-house.

Mooses's Tooth Pub & Pizzeria, (907) 258-2537.  3300 Old Seward Hwy.  Handcrafted pizzas
and their own ales and sodas.  Best pizza in town.

Arctic Roadrunner, (907) 561-4016.  5300 Old Seward Hwy.  For the best burgers in town, this
is it.

Club Paris, (907) 277-6332.  417 W Fifth Avenue.  Alaska's premier steakhouse, home of the 4"
thick filet mignon, reservations recommended.

Crow's Nest - Hotel Captain Cook, (907) 276-6000.  944 W Fifth Avenue.  Great dining atop the
Hotel Captain Cook offering panoramic views.  Extensive wine list and specialty cocktails.

Sacks Cafe & Restaurant, (907) 276-3546.  328 G Street.  Intimate atmosphere, wonderful
food, open for lunch, dinner, brunch.

Southside Bistro, Inc., (907) 348-0088.  1320 Huffman Park Drive.  Innovative menu, good
service, reasonable prices.
