Northern Quest Resort & Casino
WAVE Journey's first visit to Northern Quest Resort & Casino (minutes from downtown
Spokane, WA) proved to be an awesome experience exceeding our expectations. The hotel,
as well as, the dining options were top notch with friendly, accommodating staff at every
turn.
Jill was enticed to visit for their 2011 World Series of Poker Spring Fling which ran April 5th
through the 9th. Daily tournaments were available with seats given away for the upcoming
WSOP in Las Vegas. Alas, Jill didn't win a seat "this time", but the experience was reward
enough.
WJ salutes NQ and the poker team led by Marc Gottbreht. They did a terrific job hosting the
tournaments in their very comfortable and smoke-free poker room. The Saturday Ladies
Event was hosted by High Heels Poker Tour and the turnout of women was impressive for
this inaugural event.
The HHPT Ladies tournament during NQ's Spring Fling was set up in the Kalispel Ballroom
and enjoyed 99 entries. Marlice Aronson and Kara Winey chopped for first place with one
gal taking the WSOP seat and the other taking the equivalent value in cash.

Play in the WSOP Night for a $10,000 WSOP Main Event seat on Wednesday May 25 at 7pm
in the pavilion. The sales for WSOP Night will open on May 7, with a $220 buy-in for 13,000
chips with a $10 staff appreciation opportunity for 2000 additional chips.
NQ will be having 2 super satellites for entries into the WSOP Night on Saturday April 30 and
May 7 at 10:30am in the poker room. Super Satellites buy-in will be $30 for 10,000 chips
with unlimited $20 re-buys for 5,000 chips with one $20 add-on for 10,000 chips at the
break. The winners will receive a $230 entry into WSOP night with any balance left
paid out in increments of $100.
Then the Last Chance Tournament satellites will be Sundays in May. Starting at 7pm on the
May 1, 8, 15 & 22, NQ will have a $20 buy-in N/L limit Hold’em satellite with $10 re-buys. The
top 3 finishers each Sunday will win a $125 entry into the Last Chance final plus cash. The
Last Chance Final will be on Sunday May 29 at 7pm and will send one more player to
the WSOP with a seat in the June 22 $1,500 buy-in N/L Limit Hold’em plus cash for expenses.
