Museums - So many to choose from but the most popular vote is The Louvre. Not only is it the
world's largest museum, and in the most spectacular building, but you'll see some of the world's best
"must see" art.  Closed Tuesday, open Monday/Thursday/Saturday/Sunday 9am to 6pm,
Wednesday/Friday 9am to 9:45pm.  8.50E for the permanent exhibitions, 13E for a combined
ticket which includes the permanent and temporary exhibitions.  Wheelchairs available free of
charge.  Metro: Palais-Royal-Musee du Louvre.  Entrances: rue de Rivoli, Place de la Concorde,
Quai des Tuileries.

If you're looking for a more intimate museum experience take time out and visit
Musee
Jacquemart-Andre - 9.50E, open 365 days, 10am to 6pm.  158 blvd Haussmann (400 metres
from the Arc de Triomphe).  Metro: Miromesnil or Saint-Philippe du Roule.  This fabulous, smaller
gallery was a private residence and the owners collected all of the art work.

WJ thinks that the
Musee d'Orsay is well worth the visit.  Located in what was originally built as a
train station and hotel, there are some very interesting pieces of art.  1 rue de la Legion d'Honneur.  
Metro: Solferino.  Closed Monday, open Tuesday/Wednesday/Saturday/Sunday 9:30am to 6pm,
Thursday 9:30am to 9:45pm.  Admission 7.50E, Sundays and after 4:15pm (6pm Thursday) 5.50E.
 FREE 1st Sunday of each month.  Wheelchairs available free of charge.

If you're in the mood to take in a lot of museums and monuments the
Paris Museum Pass might work for you.  1, 3 or 5 (consecutive) days of admission to over 65
museums and monuments in and around Paris with no waiting in line for tickets.
Prices:  1 day = 18E
3 days = 36E
5 days = 54E

Picasso Museum, Hotel Sule - 5 rue Thorigny.  Closed Tuesday, open Wednesday to Monday
9:30am to 5:30pm.  Admission: 6.70E, 5.20E Sunday
Metro: Saint-Paul, or Saint-Sebastien Froissart or Chemin Vert.
