Plus... We Would Rather Eat Ginger Dark Chocolate!
Due to a recent discussion originating on Facebook by our colleague Ann Lombardi, of The Trip Chicks,
regarding the many wonderful health benefits of ginger, we developed an uncontrollable craving for ginger
dark chocolate. So, with this in mind Jill was dispatched to the nearest Whole Foods Market to see what
she could find and here are the results:
Ginger Dark Chocolate
From left to right:

Green & Black's Organic 60% Dark Chocolate with Ginger - Intense ginger flavor with small pieces of
the crystallized ginger in a smooth and full-bodied dark chocolate. This is definitely a "ginger-forward"
version that would suit anyone seeking more ginger presence.

Dagoba Organic 68% Dark Chocolate with Lemon Essence & Crystallized Ginger - First comes the
lemon essence, followed by the hint of ginger and rounded off with dark chocolate. Super-subtle lemon and
ginger flavors, but they can't be missed and are well-balanced with the chocolate.

Chocolove Crystallized Ginger in 65% Dark Chocolate - Intense dark chocolate flavor that is smooth,
full-bodied and lingers longer on the tongue. More well-rounded melding of ginger and chocolate than the
other two.

~ Jill from Bend highly recommends listening to any audio book performed by Barbara Rosenblat.  On a
roadtrip, Jill recently listened to the audio presentation of Lisa Scottoline's book, Daddy's Girl, narrated by
Barbara Rosenblat.  "Barbara Rosenblat's range of voices and accents is out of this world... what an
exceptional talent!  Rosenblat has over 400 titles in her body of work to date ~ so many audio books, so
little time..."

~ Sophia from Denmark suggests this Venice tip: One of the top places to stay, see and be seen during the
Venice Film Fest is
Hotel Danieli. Angelina Jolie and Johnny Depp checked into this fabulous hotel in The
Tourist
. You never know who you might see while sipping on Lemoncello at Bar Dandolo.
~ Bea from USA recommends The Bathroom Diaries. Source out public toilets around the world and find
reviews about cleanliness and cost. Yes, sometimes you need to spend a 1 euro to spend a penny!
~ Margalit from USA suggests taking photos of items to be laundered at hotels or while on a cruise. Better
yet if you can use your cell phone to photograph more pricey items so that you can better describe them
when they go missing.
~ Becky from UK recommends some of her favorite safe holiday spots for female travellers, included are
Iceland, Canada, Mexico, France and Australia.

and international calls up to 10 minutes long.

free admission to various sights in Nice and along the French Riviera are included in the price of either a 1, 2
or 3 day pass.
~ Sally from Australia suggests staying at the 4-star Vista Palace Hotel in Roquebrune Cap-Martin, France for
spectacular views of the French Riviera and excellent service.
~ Toni from Australia suggests sleeping in a cave in Cappadocia! Gamarisu Cave Hotel in Ayvali Village in
Turkey is amazing and a unique experience not to miss.
And... the winner is...

For Viv, who wanted more ginger in her chocolate, it was Green & Black's;
while Jill, who wanted the intense dark chocolate with just a hint of
ginger, was sold on Chocolove.

Regardless of which of these chocolates you choose, all are very good;
and just think of the health benefits that come from the antioxidants in
both the ginger and dark chocolate. Well, with that in mind, it's off to get
another dose of antioxidants!

Bon Appetit!
