The Royal Liverpool Golf Club We would rather be golfing at the Royal Liverpool Golf Club in Hoylake, England! This is the course where Tiger Woods won the 2006 British Open Championship and the first time the Open had been held at the Royal Liverpool since 1967, but the 11th since 1897. The links course (also known as Hoylake) was built in 1869 on the grounds of what was the Liverpool Hunt Club racecourse. Royal Liverpool's Clubhouse is home to one of the finest golf memorabilia collections outside of St. Andrews. The course is open to the public and it is possible to book a tee time online. Note that weekend tee times are not typically available and prices are around £140 including lunch. http://www.royal-liverpool-golf.com/ Happy Travels!
