We would rather be exploring Ghost Ranch! We would rather be visiting Georgia O'Keefe country in New Mexico, USA! Ghost Ranch, 15 miles (24 km) north of Abiquiu in northern New Mexico, is where Georgia O'Keefe spent many years exploring the area and painting the landscape. On a visit to the ranch and surrounding area it is easy to see why O'Keefe loved this environment and found so much inspirtation. The light is amazing, bringing out the vibrant colors of the land and highlighting the beauty of the 21,000 acres of red rock that make up Ghost Ranch. It is possible to stay at Ghost Ranch in the basic, no-frills B&B, or camp at their campground. Three meals a day are served in the dining hall which is open to both campers and day visitors. A great way to see the ranch is by horseback. The fee is $40 per person for one hour and be sure to take your camera. Getting to Ghost Ranch by car: 65 miles northwest of Santa Fe; 130 miles north of Albuquerque. http://www.ghostranch.org Happy Travels!
