We would rather be exploring Arches National Park! We would rather be exploring Arches National Park in Utah, USA! With over 2000 natural arches made of red Entrada sandstone, this park covering more than 73,000 acres is located 5 miles north of Moab in south-east Utah. The fully-paved roads through the park lead visitors to amazing sights such as Devils Garden, Delicate Arch, Sand Dune Arch, Wolfe Ranch and Windows Section. The park and visitor center is open year-round, but unless you enjoy triple digit temperatures don't head to this area during the very hot summer months (July & August) when temps can reach over 100 F. Spring and fall is the most popular time to visit arches but even then be prepared to have extremes in weather - WJ encountered snow on a visit at the beginning of April. While Moab has plenty of lodging options for every budget and need, camping is possible inside the park. If you like to hike this is a fantastic location to visit and explore. Other activities to keep all family members enthralled are: climbing, biking, ranger-led programs, backpacking, photography. Have lots of film or memory for your camera as this is a photographers paradise. Park Fees: $5 motorcycles/bikes/hikers; $10 vehicle. http://www.nps.gov/arch/index.htm Happy Travels!
