Things To Do In Anchorage, Alaska, USA We would rather be searching for moose in Anchorage, Alaska! One of WJ's favorite things to do in Anchorage is go for a car ride in search of moose. If you are downtown Anchorage or open the front door to your house and don't get run over by one of these large and lanky, prehistoric-looking creatures, it is quite simple to find a few grazing beside the road that runs behind Ted Stevens Anchorage International Airport - Point Woronzof Drive. To get there follow Northern Lights Blvd heading west, continue past Earthquake Park and keep driving until the road turns north. Along the way there is access to the Tony Knowles Coastal Trail and a great view of Sleeping Lady (Mount Susitna). Take a look at the webcam: http://www.borealisbroadband.net/vid-hilton1.htm So, if you're visiting Anchorage and haven't seen a real live moose, take a drive out to Point Woronzof.
