1. The Boardwalk.
The Boardwalk in Atlantic City, NJ
offers plenty of entertainment and fun,
especially for families. However, it also
includes amazing things to do for
adults, as well. The boardwalk is three
miles long, with a great view of the
Atlantic Ocean and the beach, which
many visitors take advantage of. The
Atlantic City Boardwalk offers great
restaurants as well as souvenir shops
and exciting tourist attractions, such
as the Ripley's Believe It or Not
Museum, which I found myself
completely drawn to. The boardwalk
offers rentals of bicycles, in case
walking isn't for you, or if you're just
generally the athletic type.
2. The great variety of luxury hotels.
If you're looking to take a load off for a
week or two, Atlantic City offers great
hotel accommodations, such as the
Tropicana, which was one of my
favorites. The Tropicana is like a
gigantic mall inside, offering great
restaurants, an incredibly breathtaking
scenery including Palm trees and a
mid-summer sky, an IMAX theater
(though movie listings are limited), a
two floor casino (for smokers and
non-smokers) and a wide variety of
other attractions. The Tropicana would
be one of my favorites and I would
highly recommend staying there, as
opposed to the Hilton, which offers
meager and limited entertainment,
aside from the casino, restaurants and
5 foot deep pool. The Borgata was
also a top pick among visitors.

3. The Beach.
A great place to unwind, relax and catch some sun rays, as well as waves, is no
doubt, the ocean. The beach covers the entire stretch of the boardwalk, which is
great because this eliminates overcrowding. The beach offers rentals, such as chairs
and umbrellas in case you forgot to rent your own, or you just didn't feel like lugging
ten pounds of beach equipment for you and your family. Since so many hotels offer
pools that are mostly for families and are only up to five feet deep, the ocean is a
great alternative for adults as well as children. Lifeguards are on duty until the beach
closes, so safety is not an issue.
