#1 - WJ'S FAVORITE THINGS 2007 A Safari with CC Africa - www.ccafrica.com
Read WJ's account of their safari experience with CC Africa.
South African Safari: Ultimate Adventure Meets Ultimate Luxury
Tearing flesh, crunching bones, the two largest lions in Africa are so close to the safari jeep that I find my heart pounding from the adrenalin rush. Our ranger, Paul, has positioned us within 15 feet of the two brothers and their fresh Wildebeest kill. It's not everyday you get this close to one of Africa's "Big 5" (lions, elephants, water buffalo, rhino and leopard) while indulging all of your senses in ultimate luxury. Eager to come face-to-face with the elusive leopard and scarcely seen wild dogs, we had chosen to visit the 76,000 hectare Madikwe Game Reserve (a 4 hour drive northwest of Johannesburg and bordering Botswana) - and being a malaria-free reserve was a definite bonus.

Travel Tips ~ What to do before you leave home on a long trip
by Emma Wilson in San Francisco, California
Once the trip is booked there is plenty to do before heading off from home. Here's a short list to make life easier.
How can friends/family reach you while you're away?
Get yourself set up with a yahoo or hotmail email account that can be accessed from any computer anywhere in the world. If you're considering taking a cell phone/mobile/handy with you on your trip, make sure it will still work if you're traveling outside your own country. Do this with your cell phone provider and double check the information with them to make sure it is correct. Other options are: rent a mobile phone in the place you're visiting, use email as internet access is readily available in most places and/or take a laptop with you (although, internet cafe access weighs less).

WJ has used the GSeat daily throughout the course of 2007 - in the office, car, flights, ball games and concerts.
We are thoroughly pleased with the product and results from using it.
Take the pressure off your back and tailbone and sit more comfortably. Works great for sciatic problems.

Travel Tips
by L.T. in Canada
Traveling with a mobile phone has its advantages, especially if delayed for airline connections. If you have a mobile you can call the airline reservation department directly while you wait for the one and only customer service agent in the endless line of other passengers who are also trying to sort out missed connections. It is also handy to have with you to rearrange hotel/car reservations or to inform anyone picking you up at your destination.
Never completely trust information given out by airline or hotel staff (probably the same in most situations these days). Sorry to say that you can ask five different employees the same question and get a different answer from each one, and it is doubtful that anyone will actually be correct. Do your own homework if and when possible if it's something that you must have accurate info on.

Swissmar KF-77043 8-Person Classic Raclette Party Grill, Red Enamel by Swissmar
Only recently introduced to Raclette (thanks Martha & Bill!), WJ has been enjoying great meals with friends using the Raclette Grill.
Cheeses that work well with the grill are: Raclette (preferably Swiss, but a good French is great too), Emmentaler or Gruyere.
If you're not familiar with Raclette, click here to read a good article that will give you the "How To" on the subject.
