I happened upon an adorable character in picture form and when he held my attention
long enough, I knew I had to have him in a three dimensional form for my studio.
As for the timing, I was exploring my own creativity in making paper mache masks. With
his picture pinned in my workroom, I could study him with the thought that at a later date
I would do something with my idea.
Fast forward a year or so. I had enough clay to mold one side of his face. Then I tried
the second side. Eventually followed by the rest of his head a large cast was made,
followed by papering and painting until the finished product was ready for display in my
studio.
The opportunity to share my vision with a family member arose. He then took up my offer
to make his body. When the day arrived to view his form, my reaction was...WOW! This
was far beyond my expectations.
Since that time, designer clothes have been made, along with all the accessories that
helped to mold his character. He happens to be one of three musical characters that will
tell the story of how they met, amid the turmoil that unfolds around them.
