In 2009 Viv travelled to the
Mexican state of San Luis
Potosi, spending five days
exploring the different regions
and being thoroughly
invigorated by the scenery and

The 38-meter tall El Salto del
Meco waterfall in the Huasteca
Potosi is a site to be seen and
a destination not to be missed.
Travellers with basic
knowledge of Spanish will
enjoy the area immensely,
although those who do not
have at least the basics down
will probably find frustration
with the lack of English
spoken. Saying that, if you're

travellers paradise. El Salto del Meco and the river below are the most vivid turquoise color I
have ever seen. The clarity of the water is amazing and the incredible jungle vegetation
surrounding the area is spectacular.

The restaurant overlooking El Salto del Meco serves delicious and traditional regional food at
reasonable prices. In my mind there is nothing better than a great meal with a fabulous view.
