WJ's Review:
These are amazing socks. WJ has been wearing these socks almost daily for months. They are the
one sock that we have tested that works in most shoes and boots and for most conditions. On
super hot days they helped keep our feet cool, dry, blister and odor free. On cold days our feet
were warm, insulated and cushioned. These socks are attractive combined with functional.
WJ finds the Strive quarter works perfectly in casual shoes, low-hikers, golf shoes and running
shoes. After 8 to 10 hours of wear in a day, our feet did not experience fatique or blisters.
WJ prefers to wear the Strive crew in hiking boots, low-hikers, running or casual shoes. Although,
keep in mind there is no limit to what footwear or activity these socks can be used for.
We have thrown them in the washing machine and frequently hand-washed them during extensive
periods of travel. They do not retain odors or lose their shape, even when we have worn them
without laundering them for 3 days at a time. We found they air-dried very quickly and depending
on humidity levels were typically dry within a couple of hours. Jill prefers her socks stay out of the
dryer and Viv likes them dryer-fluffed. Either way, they retain their shape and softness.
This is a quality sock and a style we continue to enjoy using daily. Five months of use and abuse,
with approximately 350 hours of wear and they only show slight pilling around the heels. We're
thrilled with that result!
As with all the Fox River socks we have tested over the years, the flat toe seam on these socks
feels... well, that's the point... we can't feel it at all. That is a definite bonus as we typically get
blisters from toe seams on other brands.
The AXT Strive will be in stores December 2009.
