Each meal onboard Anjodi was met with anticipation of what picture-perfect presentation and
delightful flavors would tantilize our tastebuds. Three delicious meals a day (continental breakfast
served buffet-style, two-course lunches, four-course dinners) of seasonal and regional delicacies
graced the menus and were included in the cruise fare.

Coffee, tea, hot chocolate, soft drinks and bottled water were offered throughout the day and
accompanied by a plate of biscuits or chocolate. A basket of fresh fruit was always available in the
salon. When off on shore excursions the guides would ensure that passengers had plenty of
bottled water available and a cafe visit would ensue.

Hors d'oeuvres on Anjodi
A selection of fine regional wines were specifically chosen by
Captain Julian to complement lunch and dinner menus, with
in-depth descriptions of each wine being presented in an
informative and educational style. Through Julian's educational
wine briefings we came to develop a new appreciation for Rose
wine (not to be confused with sweet Californian white zinfandel )
from the Corbieres terroir of the Languadoc. Even the most ardent
wine enthusiast can expand their knowledge as they learn from
Julian -- after all his mentor was French master sommelier Jean
Frambourt.
At cocktail time - around 5:30 p.m., Chef Sarah would send
out a plate of hors d'oeuvres for guests to nibble on with
their aperitif. This was just a pre-emptor of the wonderful
creations she had devoted hours to making and would
soon grace our dinner plates.
Hostess Lauren joyfully imparted her vast knowledge of French
cheeses. She made her selections for lunch and dinner to pair with
other courses on the menu and to satisfy passenger requests,
based on what seasonal cheeses were available. We sampled over
20 different and fabulous French cheeses during our 6-night cruise.

Following dinner guests were offered a digestif -- Armangnac,
Cognac, Banyuls, Grand Marnier, Baileys, dessert wine, or similar
after-dinner drinks -- accompanied by nougat or a high-quality
chocolate. We especially enjoyed the Lindt Creme Brulee Milk
Chocolate alongside a Baileys on ice.

Nobody went hungry or thirsty on this cruise of never-ending
feasting.  The variety of foods prepared was excellent, beautifully
presented and imparted amazing flavors.
Carafes of still and sparkling mineral waters were always present
while dining at lunch and dinner. The open bar features a large
variety of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages for passengers to
enjoy at will.

Dinner at a local restaurant, La Raffinerie, in Beziers was an included
excursion that passengers enjoyed in the company of Julian. This
was a perfect way to experience dining in a French restaurant --
under the entertaining and helpful guidance of someone fluent in
French, with a taste for fine food and vast knowledge of wine.
